Deep-tech startup VyomIC received $1.6 M from Speciale Invest

In its pre-seed funding round, which was led by Speciale Invest and included participation from BYT Capital and DeVC, the deep-tech startup VyomIC raised Rs 14 crore, or roughly $1.6 million.
According to a press release from VyomIC, the money will be utilized to support its spaceborne demonstration mission, scale team hiring and business development initiatives, and further the development of its LEO-based PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) payload.
VyomIC, which was co-founded by Lokesh Kabdal, Vibhor Jain, and Anurag Patil, constructs satellite constellations to provide Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services from Low Earth Orbit that are extremely precise, secure, and independent. Without depending on foreign-controlled navigation networks like GPS or GLONASS, it seeks to provide centimeter-level positioning and nanosecond-level timing to power the next generation of autonomous systems, secure infrastructure, and mission-critical operations.
For real-time, high-integrity navigation, particularly in contested, urban, or GNSS-denied environments, VyomIC’s LEO-PNT system combines onboard atomic clocks, encrypted signal layers, and AI-powered orbit determination algorithms. Because of its spoofing-proof and jamming-resistant signal architecture, it is perfect for a variety of industries, including telecom, aerospace, finance, and defense.
By delivering spoofing-proof and jamming-resistant signals, the Chennai-based company’s technology seeks to overcome the vulnerability of current systems like GPS and GLONASS. The system provides better coverage in urban and signal-contested environments, higher precision, faster convergence, and stronger signal power with LEO satellites.
In order to provide safe, real-time navigation and timing services to users worldwide, VyomIC intends to launch a full-fledged constellation.
