Sequoia India supported Virtual Internships’ $14.3 M Series A round
An English and Vietnamese company called Virtual Internships has secured $14.3 million in a series A round of funding from investors including STIC Investments and Sequoia India & Southeast Asia’s Surge.
For people in 100 different countries who are pursuing higher education, the company provides access to digital internships. Additionally, it prepares students for and during their employment experiences.
According to the organization, it will match students with internship opportunities at startups and blue-chip companies within a month, regardless of their location, background, major, or career area. Additionally, it predicts that every 7.5 minutes, a new host firm will join its network.
According to Virtual Internships, 70% of paired interns in its one- to four-month programs have had direct contact with the founders or C-level executives of their host businesses. It was also mentioned that about 25% of matched interns receive an offer to continue working.
Daniel Nivern and Ed Holroyd Pearce founded Virtual Internships in 2018, and the company now employs people in 25 different nations. The business participated in Sequoia’s Surge accelerator program’s fifth batch.
