Seventh Africa’s Business Heroes competition open for applications

The seventh edition of Africa’s Business Heroes, which gives winning businesses a total of US$1.5 million, is now accepting applications.
The Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy support the ABH competition, a charitable initiative that honors and elevates African entrepreneurs.
Since 2019, ABH has given ten worthy entrepreneurs grants totaling US$1.5 million annually. In addition, the organization offers substantial networking, training, mentorship, and exposure opportunities.
Getting selected as one of the ABH finalists gives access to the tools and assistance required to grow a company. US$1.5 million in grant funding is distributed among the top 10 finalists, with US$300,000 going to the grand prize winner, US$250,000 to the first runner-up, and US$150,000 to the second runner-up.
Each of the other finalists receives $100,000, plus an extra $100,000 for training in global immersion. Eyone, a Senegalese startup that created a medical interoperability platform that gives patients and healthcare professionals access to real-time medical records, emerged as this year’s overall winner.
