Taiwan’s Quanta Computer doubles its $240 M investment in Vietnam

According to Ninh Binh officials, Quanta Computer, one of the biggest laptop manufacturers in the world, has filed to increase its investment in the northern province of Ninh Binh, Vietnam, from $120 million to $240 million.
In May 2023, the Taiwan-based group received its first investment certificate in the My Thuan Industrial Zone. The project produces desktop and laptop computers as well as electrical parts for export.
Quanta has a reputation for working with international companies like Apple, HP, Asus, Acer, and others.
Quanta built its first factory, F1, after receiving first permission, and it began operations in 2024. Currently, the plant can produce one million electronic component goods and about 4.5 million PCs annually.
Quanta will build a second factory, F2, as part of the increased investment; operations are anticipated to start in 2028. When the facility is operational, the company will be able to produce 1.5 million electronic component goods and nine million PCs annually.
In February 2026, Quanta Computer’s Vietnam-based subsidiary, QMH Computer, requested assistance from the local government in hiring an additional 2,000 employees to support its operations.
