2025 Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship open for application

Applications for the 2025 Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, which funds South African startups seeking to advance education through innovation, are now being accepted by Injini, a South African ed-tech incubator in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation.

Injini is a registered non-profit organization that was established in 2017 with the express goal of enhancing educational outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is a part of the UVU Africa Group. Its programs and research through the Injini Think Tank support its mission to improve the caliber, accessibility, and relevance of education in the region. It is the only specialized ed-tech accelerator in Africa.

According to media, Injini and the Mastercard Foundation launched the EdTech Fellowship for South African startups last year, and in April, a second cohort was chosen. The third fellowship, which provides participating startups with a mix of direct grant funding, product evaluation, customized market research, skills development, mentorship, and market access opportunities, is currently accepting applications.

By December 8, interested parties can apply here.
