Home finance startup Aham Housing Finance raises Rs 100 Cr from Sanmar Group

Aham home Finance, a technology-driven affordable home finance startup, has raised Rs 100 crore in a subsequent investment round headed by The Sanmar Group.

One of the company’s initial institutional supporters, Negen Capital, was among the current investors that took part in the round.

According to a news statement from Aham Housing Finance, the additional funds will be utilized to improve the company’s lending capacity, increase its presence in underserved housing markets, deepen its footprint in current geographies, enter a few new markets, and keep investing in technology.

Aham Housing Finance, under the direction of Venkatesh Kannappan, is committed to provide developing and underserved borrower segments in India access to affordable housing loans.

The business serves independent contractors and first-time homebuyers who are frequently neglected by traditional lenders by using data-driven underwriting, regional distribution, and risk management techniques.

The company claims that during the past few years, it has seen growth in all important operating measures while upholding a careful framework for risk management. It stated that it is still committed to using responsible lending to increase financial inclusion.
