Piper Serica led Rs 15 Cr Pre–series A funding raised by deep tech startup AlgoFET

Deep tech startup AlgoFET has raised Rs 15 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Piper Serica.

The fresh funds will be used to accelerate the development of its infrastructure products, expand in-house manufacturing, strengthen proprietary IP, and scale deployments across defence, enterprise and international markets, AlgoFET said in a press release.

Founded in December 2023 by Ankit Mishra, AlgoFET is building autonomous ground infrastructure for drones. Its products cover docking, charging, battery management and fleet monitoring to support continuous drone operations with limited human intervention.

According to the startup, it has exclusive intellectual property related to cloud-based fleet infrastructure, embedded electronics, intelligent battery management, autonomous docking, and high-power charging. It has an order pipeline of more than 4,000 units and has deployed more than 2,000 units. With early support from drone manufacturers in the US and Europe, its clients include defense, government, logistics, and enterprise drone operators throughout India.

Drone operations still need human interaction for deployment, battery replacement, and charging. In order to allow drones to recover, recharge, and relaunch with little assistance from humans, AlgoFET is concentrating on this ground infrastructure layer.

The technology of the Bengaluru-based startup consists of five integrated layers: cloud-based fleet monitoring, embedded electronics and firmware, intelligent battery management, high-power charging systems, and autonomous docking mechanisms. These parts were created by the corporation as a vertically integrated stack of firmware, software, and hardware.

Infrastructure for autonomous drone operations is also being developed by other startups. While Aetherium Labs is creating weatherproof drone bases with automatic charging capabilities, Nashik-based NxtQube is constructing autonomous docking infrastructure that is independent of drones.

In order to develop its autonomous logistics technology, airspace management platform, and physical AI infrastructure, Skye Air secured $9 million in a Series B investment in March 2026. In July 2026, SUIND raised Rs 20.5 crore in startup money to expand autonomous drone platforms for infrastructure inspection, agriculture, and surveillance.
