Video app Mitron raises USD 5 million
Mumbai: Homegrown short-form video app Mitron has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners with participation from 3one4 Capital and Lets Ventures.
Angel investors, including Deep Kalra, Amrish Rau, Jiten Gupta, Amarjit Batra, Anand Chandrasekharan, Karan Bajwa, Radhika Ghai, Vikalp Sahni, and Shanti Mohan also participated in their individual capacity.
Mitron, which is receiving unprecedented attention since TikTok and 58 other Chinese apps got banned last month by the Indian government, would utilize the fresh capital to accelerate its product development to increase user engagement and hire new talents.
