BRI Ventures, Accel, others led $3.5 M raised by FishLog
A pre-series A fundraising round led by BRI Ventures, Accel, and Insignia Ventures Partners netted US $3.5 million for FishLog, an Indonesia-based fishing firm.
Three graduates of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture, Bayu Anggara, Abdul Halim, and Reza Fahlepi, started the company in 2020.
FishLog is a B2B marketplace that links the many players in the country’s cold chain network of fisheries, such as cold storage facilities, fishermen, and consumers. Additionally, it offers finance, digitalization of cold storage, and inventory managing services.
The company intends to use the new capital to create new goods and business strategies as well as to lend to industry participants in the fishing sector.
FishLog, which already employs more than 200 people, plans to use the additional funding to expand its workforce. In order to prepare individuals for the fishing business, it has also built a training program called FishLog Academy. Through this program, students will learn about quality control and cold storage procedures.
