Animall Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which operates a platform that connects cattle buyers and sellers, has raised Rs 44.5 crore ($6 million) in a Series A funding round led by Sequoia Capital.
Sequoia contributed Rs 22 crore in this while early-stage investment firms Omnivore and LetsVenture also put in money, digital media publication.
Animall operates through a Hindi language website and an android application called “Pashu Mela” that it claims has recorded one million downloads on the Google Play Store.
The broader animal nutrition segment has seen several deals in the recent past.
