Pune-based Digital marketTech platform GullyBuy acquired by Rural Tech Startup Hesa

Hesa, a rural technology firm located in Hyderabad, said that it had just acquired GullyBuy, a digital MarketTech platform based in Pune. GullyBuy, which was founded in 2019, provides innovative technology that streamlines local purchasing experiences through a digital marketplace that links buyers and sellers in India’s gullies. Hesa’s presence in rural geographies will strengthen with the acquisition of GullyBuy’s software and IP, the start-up company said in a release, and empower village level entrepreneurs (Hesaathis) to manage a powerful last mile e-commerce capability so end consumers enjoy a faster, smoother, and simpler shopping experience.

Hesa effectively links end-to-end company to the rural populace at their doorstep for purchasing, selling, promoting, marketing, services, and more by using technology and its 32,000-strong on-the-ground staff, known as Hesaathi. Hesa can provide business and employment possibilities in distant places because to its robust supply chain and user-friendly API. Hesa’s mobile first technology, according to Vamsi Udayagiri, Founder and CEO, is linked with Hesa’s objective of curating innovative solutions for rural India. GullyBuy’s IP and software purchase will enable Hesa to execute and manage large-scale operations as India’s largest tech integrated marketplace that facilitates ease of commerce in rural India.
