Voice AI platform Karta AI raises $3 M Seed funding from PeerCapital and Cedar Hill

Karta AI, a voice AI platform that automates inbound customer operations for businesses in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sectors, has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital. The round also saw participation from Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars.
The fresh capital will be used to enhance the platform’s end-to-end automation and multilingual capabilities, expand deployments across financial institutions, and grow its engineering and go-to-market teams, the company said in a press release.
Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, Karta AI builds voice AI agents that manage incoming customer calls for banks, lenders, fintech firms and insurance companies. Its platform connects with enterprise systems to respond to customer queries and execute workflows independently, involving human agents only when escalation is necessary.
While traditional voice bots are generally designed to address individual queries, Karta AI’s platform can handle multiple customer requirements within a single conversation. Its predictive context engine draws on historical interactions involving both human and AI agents to improve query resolution and decision-making.
The Bengaluru-based startup said its platform is operational with financial institutions and processes approximately 2 million customer conversations every month across more than 25 languages. The company claims its inbound servicing agent resolves nearly 70% of borrower queries from start to finish, compared with 0% previously, across use cases such as disbursal status, account statements, foreclosure statements and property document releases.
Going forward, Karta AI plans to build reusable capabilities tailored to specific industries and enter international markets.
India’s agentic voice AI market has attracted increasing investor attention, with startups developing solutions to automate customer interactions across banking, lending, fintech and insurance.
Recent funding activity in the segment includes Desible.ai’s Rs 32 crore seed-plus round led by Prime Venture Partners, Navana.ai’s Rs 40 crore Series A round led by Ronnie Screwvala, and Rezolv’s $12.5 million Series A round led by Norwest.
Other companies operating in the space include Arrowhead, which develops voice AI solutions for financial services, and Gnani.ai, which is expanding its agentic AI and multilingual voice capabilities. While some platforms specialise in financial services functions such as collections, underwriting and customer support, others are building broader voice AI infrastructure for enterprise applications.
