Stripe, Saison Capital to launch program for SEA-focused insights
Stripe and Saison Capital have joined the financial services platform to provide an insights program to support Southeast Asian companies.
Starting in July of this year, Singapore-based Saison Capital will establish direct connections between founders and operators of its portfolio companies and Stripe’s engineering, product, public policy, recruitment, and sales professionals.
The project will address themes including market growth planning, product roadmap creation, and talent strategy surrounding recruiting and retention. It will involve group learning sessions and one-on-one discussions.
The insights program is the first effort to result from the collaboration between Saison Capital and Stripe. Still, according to a statement, the two businesses intend to create future projects, including Web3 learning seminars and networking opportunities.
Asia-wide diversification is reflected in the portfolio of Saison Capital, the venture arm of Japanese financial services provider Credit Saison. It has invested in firms including the Indonesian marketplace Ula, the B2B platform GrowSari in the Philippines, and the Singaporean cybersecurity company Cyber Sierra.
One of the top systems for payments in the world, Stripe was founded in 2010 by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison. According to its most recent estimation, the company is worth US$95 billion. The company has numerous well-known partners, including IT behemoths like Apple, Amazon, and AliExpress.
