Smartstaff raised $6.2 M Series A funding from Nexus, others
Blue-collar staffing platform Smartstaff has raised $6.2 million from Nexus Ventures, Arkam Ventures, Blume Ventures, and Alteria Capital as part of its Series A funding. With this, the firm has raised a total of $10.5 million in funding.
According to a press release from Smartstaff, the money will allow the company to expand geographically and replicate its success in the apparel industry in other markets.
Arpit Dave, Viral Chhajer, Gnanesh Chilukuri, and Aravind Reddy founded Smartstaff to make hiring easier for big and mid-sized manufacturing companies.
According to Smartstaff, over the last two years, 11,000 workers have been hired, trained, and employed across 50 different manufacturers. The company claims that by facilitating 3 million shifts, workers have earned over Rs 100 crore in wages as a group.
The three key components of blue-collar staffing that Smartstaff focuses on are management, recruitment, and retention. Marks and Spencers, Cotton World, Raymonds, and SuperDry are some of its partner brands.
